May 6, 2010 Dear Vendors, Enclosed you will find a booth application for the 2010 Scarecrow Festival. The festival will be held on Saturday, Oct 23, 2010. The deadline for applications is September 25, 2010. The festival will again be held on the Kaufman County Courthouse Square. The hours will be 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. The booths have been renumbered this year, but will basically cover the same areas as last year. If you have special needs or requests, please include them in a note with you returned application. While we cannot guarantee to meet each request, we will try to accommodate as many as possible. If you are a food vendor, please pay special attention to the enclosed information and requirements. Unfortunately, several food booths were closed last year because they did not meet the minimum requirements, as shown in the attachments. Please be sure all checks for booth fees are made out the Kaufman Chamber of Commerce. Checks for health permits must be made out to the City of Kaufman. A detailed vendor packet will be mailed out approximately 3 weeks prior to the event. Thank you for participating in the follow up survey after the 2009 Scarecrow Festival. The winners of the free booth spaces were Clarissa Busch Raymond, Paula Freeman, and Sheryl Harrison. We hope you will join us for a great day of fun and entertainment. We are working hard to bring in additional attractions that will increase our attendance.
